Welcome dear viewer, to my blog

Whether it's Nedroid or XKCD, SMBC or Amazingsuperpowers, or many other webcomics, they'll be put up to review here. I've read webcomics, and some are definitely good, some are bad, and some are just awful. I'll be reviewing some of the comics I frequently read, along with some that I've heard are just awful. I've read comics for years, so I figure, why not review them. It should be fun, and at the very least, the comics will get more views. At time of writing, I only have my four favorite blogs in the section I'm reviewing. As time goes on however, I will be adding more and more comics to my list. I'll post a review of the comics the day after, or the day they're posted. Check when they're updated, and then check my blog the next day.

A few announcements... Then some comics!

So, first of all, I'd like to announce that I'm going to start reviewing older comics from the series I've already reviewed. This will give people a look at how the comics started, and contrast them with how they look, and how the jokes play out now. I'll do one comic every Friday, and it will be Flashback Friday. No idea what comics I'll do yet, some might not even be up on the site yet.

Secondly, I've noticed all these comics have a very similar theme. Normal scenario > Expected result > Humorous twist. With these three steps, all the comics seem to play out that way. Now, this is just the comics I've reviewed, and I've seen these artists make comics that aren't like this, but still, an interesting observation

We'll start off with some nedroid!  Finally it's updated, and not only that, it's proven my comment above, this one has a clever set up, and then a final deliverance that actually made... Relative sense considering the characters. Yes the final result of what Reginald has been doing with the news stations is unexpected, but you can suspect he's done something with them. Good show!

As for Amazingsuperpowers, it too has finally broken this cycle. It's an interesting contrast between the third and second installment in this series. In the third, the character was honorable, returned a nail file, then went back. In this one, he just flies away, even though he was meant to be rehabilitated. This is pretty ironic, and I'm glad that both comics are changing up the humor.

  1. I really like the personal touches that you add when describing the comments. Also, the fact that I can read the comics that you critique really easily, is much appreciated. You've actually made me think of returning to my comic reading days!

  2. I realized also when you mentioned that the comics have a similar theme, and when I went back and looked at some of the previous comics your theory couldn't have been more correct
